Fryderyk Chopin is a ship with a very original brig rigging, favored by pirates in its time due to its high speed. This particular structure came off the drawing board of Zygmunt Choreń, the best Polish sailing ship designer, and is an extension of the experiments in shipbuilding initiated by Krzysztof Baranowski and Zygmunt Choreń in the late 1970s with the “Pogoria” project.
